The calm waters of the Mar Menor are the ideal setting to get started in sailing, while the waves of the Mediterranean side of La Manga are a challenge for fans of more extreme sports such as windsurfing or kitesurfing. <\/p><p>The marine biological reserve of Cabo de Palos and Islas Hormigas, belonging to La Manga, stands out for its beauty and the good conservation of the seabed that have made it one of the favorite destinations for diving in Spain.<\/p><p>In fact, the seabed of the reserve has been declared in 2015 as the best diving destination on the European continent.<\/p><p>In that area, the facilities of the Mar Menor Nautical Station stand out. They are a set of nautical, sports and tourist infrastructures, training and leisure establishments grouped in a common space: the entire Ribera del Mar Menor and La Manga.
